You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.

Frequently asked questions

Are you currently accepting new clients?

Yes! I am accepting new clients for psychotherapy who are residents of the states of New York and California.

How do I know we’re a good fit?

We won’t know until we get a feel for each other (hence the free phone consultation). Time is valuable though, and no need waste time if YOU don’t have a sense that we will work well together. So here’s a glimpse into how I work and what I have seen to be helpful:

First and foremost, there has to be an openness to learning and a sense of trust. Trust that our time together is valuable and that I will offer insight that I feel will be the most helpful given your concerns. A major component of trust is honesty. I will be honest, direct, authentic, compassionate, and respectful in all my efforts to help you be the best version of yourself.

My approach has roots in mindfulness, emotional awareness, and cognitive restructuring. We can pepper in some behavioral strategies as well. In my experience, the greater our flexibility in response to obstacles, the less trapped and in need of escaping our challenges we feel. If we can think our way out, and find a new frame or state of mind--fantastic. If it is easier to shift our behaviors and change our habits to have a different outcome--equally wonderful. Other times you may simply need a non-judgemental space to hear yourself think. All of these functions can be helpful in reducing one’s stress. They get us out of our own way in our effort to become a little closer to our ideal self.

Do you take insurance?

As an independent clinician, I am not able to accept insurance at this time.

How much does therapy cost?

Due to the personalized nature of my practice, please send me an email to discuss rates for therapy.

Where are you?

While geographically located in New York City, I am currently accepting new in-person clients in NYC, and clients from the states of New York and California via telehealth, which is just like FaceTime or Skype but on a secure platform using industry standard encryption.

This is especially beneficial for those clients with busy work schedules, are avid travelers, couples with conflicting schedules, even those in different cities who are not able to make it to a physical office. And, admittedly, it’s great for those who value convenience.
